Yeatts Racing has been presenting driving clinics since the 2001 season. In 2004, we branched out and offered an intermediate driving course to strengthen our base course and extend the driving techniques of our students.  Additionally, we are including our setup manual as part of the class (along with lunch!)

Follow The Leader Is Integral In Helping New Drivers Find The LineOur base driving clinic teaches new and intermediate drivers to find the line of any race track. Pickup points, lift points, apexes, and corner entry and exit are the core of what ends up being a 6-hour day. The students spend the day leading and following our instructors while other members of our team review student lines and time each and every lap. The day is ended with mock qualifying, starts and restarts. Several of our students have commented later that the starts and restarts portion of the course more than paid for itself the next time out in an actual race.Kevin gives instruction on the front stretch.

We have classes scheduled currently for Southside Speedway in Richmond, VA on March 18/19, 2006 and a class scheduled at Lake Erie Speedway in Erie, PA on April 8/9.  We'll be announcing a class at South Boston Speedway sometime in the next two weeks.

The Intermediate Clinic, for drivers with some experience either in Legends or other series, teaches proper use of mirrors, running in traffic, setting up and executing a proper pass, and other finer points of what it means to be a race driver.

We've had great success with our students.  One of our students won his next time out! (Your results may vary)  Both classes have, at their core, the belief that a driver who is comfortable in a race car is more competitive and safer. For more information, drop us an email!
